Target Population: The oxygen concentration can be continuously maintained at 93%±3% within the oxygen flow range of 1-5L, meeting the standards for medical oxygen therapy. It is suitable for patients with severe illnesses, those who need to use ventilators, and patients with lung diseases who require long-term oxygen therapy daily, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, lung resection, lung cancer, pneumoconiosis, and silicosis, among others. The 5-liter oxygen concentrator can maintain an oxygen concentration above 90% at an oxygen output rate of 1-5 liters per minute, providing sufficient oxygen support for patients with severe hypoxia and ensuring the effectiveness of oxygen therapy.
Working Principle: An oxygen concentrator is a device that utilizes the PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) principle of molecular sieves to increase oxygen concentration by adsorbing nitrogen and other gas components. When the device is operating, compressed air is injected into a sealed adsorption tower filled with molecular sieves, causing the pressure inside the tower to rise. As the environmental pressure increases, the molecular sieves adsorb a large amount of nitrogen from the compressed air, while the oxygen in the compressed air remains in the gaseous state and is collected through certain pipes. This process is known as the adsorption process.
When the molecular sieves inside the container reach the adsorption saturation critical state, the adsorption tower is depressurized by blowing air. As the environmental pressure decreases, the molecular sieves’ ability to adsorb nitrogen decreases, and the nitrogen is released from inside the molecular sieves and discharged as waste gas. This process is commonly referred to as the desorption process. To ensure a continuous and stable supply of oxygen, the oxygen concentrator uses two molecular adsorption towers, controlled by a separation valve, so that while one tower is in the adsorption process, the other is in the desorption process, alternating to complete the continuous oxygen production process.
